Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack AI (Python, React, AWS Bedrock)

Location: Hybrid in Hartford, Connecticut, with additional locations in Atlanta, Georgia; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Hunt Valley, Maryland

Annual base salary: $139,400–$230,000

What you will do

• Own the technical vision for products and shape product direction with product owners and designers.
• Design, build, test, and ship production AI agents that automate end-user workflows.
• Work with agent frameworks, LLM APIs, and orchestration tooling to deliver reliable systems.
• Define agent architecture, evaluation, telemetry, and observability practices.
• Investigate and resolve high-impact production issues involving agent behavior, accuracy, and reliability.
• Partner with stakeholders, mentor engineers, and provide hands-on technical leadership.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience shipping production systems built on LLMs or AI agents.
• Experience with agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, or AgentCore and LLM APIs from Anthropic or OpenAI.
• Knowledge of tool use, retrieval, multi-step workflows, evaluation, and observability.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience defining technical direction for a workstream or product area and influencing engineering or product strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or equivalent education and experience, plus six additional years of software engineering experience.
