Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; roles are open in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Salt Lake City, and San Diego.

Salary: $122,000–$150,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build and deploy scalable backend services and APIs for global brands.
• Turn incomplete or ambiguous specifications into clear requirements, tasks, estimates, and delivery plans.
• Design systems, schemas, pipelines, architecture, and infrastructure solutions.
• Integrate third-party APIs and systems and define contracts for frontend teams and services.
• Review code, advocate for testing, security, performance, and CI/CD best practices, and identify risks early.
• Apply AI and agentic capabilities to client work, collaborate with stakeholders, and share technical knowledge internally and externally.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and maintaining production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience designing and integrating APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database platforms.
• Familiarity with modern frontend development, preferably Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience with a major cloud provider; Google Cloud is preferred, with AWS and Azure also accepted.
• Daily use of generative AI development tools, understanding of core LLM concepts, and fluency with Git, Agile, and CI/CD tooling.
