Technical Accounting Manager (Payments)

Location: Hybrid role in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

What you will do

• Research technical accounting topics including revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, stock compensation, and software accounting.
• Document accounting conclusions in technical accounting memos and support internal and external financial reporting under GAAP.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
• Support the development and implementation of internal controls for SOX 404 compliance.
• Monitor new accounting and reporting standards and assess their impact on the company’s financial statements.
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes, valuations, goodwill impairment assessments, special projects, and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 5+ years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with ERP general ledger systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
