Vaccines Operational Excellence Director (Vaccines)

Location: On premise in New York City, United States. The role requires permanent U.S. work authorization and does not offer U.S. work visa sponsorship. Travel up to 10% may be required, including international travel.

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300. The role also includes a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead global and U.S. category-led Medical Affairs initiatives and coordinate priorities across asset teams, markets, and cross-functional partners.
• Develop and implement medical processes, SOPs, governance structures, project plans, metrics, and change management activities.
• Manage project coordination for medical activities including advisory boards, medical congresses, launch planning, and Medical Team meetings.
• Build and maintain relationships with Finance, Contracts & Outsourcing, Compliance, Operational Excellence, and other internal functions.
• Own financial forecasting, accruals, budget planning, resource allocation, spend tracking, and data integrity for assigned assets or Field Medical areas.
• Facilitate strategic and operating planning and drive consistent approaches across Operational Excellence teams.

Requirements

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of pharmaceutical or related industry experience, or an advanced degree with the corresponding experience pathway.
• Prior Medical Affairs experience, with project management, business operations, budget management, and financial tracking experience.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, communication, relationship-building, and influencing-without-authority skills.
• Experience operating in a heavily matrixed organization and managing projects with colleagues in multiple locations.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and relevant hirify.global systems.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as a master’s degree, PharmD, or PhD.
• Experience in other medical or clinical functions and with hirify.global systems including POD, Ariba BOD, and EngagePlus.
• Experience leading innovation for future healthcare needs.
