Associate Platform Engineer (Cloud/DevOps)

Location: Remote; preference given to candidates on the East Coast

What you will do

• Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure to support scalability, resilience, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and support CI/CD pipeline improvements and automation.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, security controls, patching, and system maintenance.
• Respond to Tier 2 infrastructure issues, contribute to runbooks and root-cause analyses, and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Support disaster recovery testing, backup verification, performance optimization, and cloud cost management.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams while documenting configurations and contributing to code reviews and smaller projects.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional engineering or IT operations experience with exposure to cloud infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, scripting languages, version control, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD tools.
• Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration concepts, including ECS, ACA, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to improve productivity and solution quality.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field.
