Software Engineer III/Senior, Infrastructure Platform (Go)

Location: Remote for candidates outside the Bay Area; hybrid for candidates within commuting distance to San Francisco, with office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All candidates must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work there.

Salary: $165,600–$247,500 annually, depending on level, location tier, qualifications, and scope. Compensation also includes equity.

hirify.global provides a cloud networking platform for securing, transforming, and routing traffic to services, including API delivery, AI inference, device fleets, and site-to-site connectivity.

What you will do

• Build and improve the internal engineering platform used to develop, test, deploy, and operate hirify.global.
• Automate operational workflows and design infrastructure systems that scale reliably under production load.
• Improve developer tooling, deployment systems, CI/CD infrastructure, and internal abstractions.
• Strengthen observability, reliability, uptime, and incident response processes.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical direction, and evolve platform architecture and operational maturity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems in AWS or another cloud environment.
• Proficiency in a statically typed, compiled language such as Go, Rust, C++, or Java; Go is preferred.
• Strong interest in operational engineering, developer experience, and scalable systems design.
• US-based work authorization on a permanent, ongoing basis without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, nix, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or gRPC.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or Honeycomb.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or builder tooling.
• Background in networking, infrastructure, or security-focused systems.
