Senior Manager, Billing and Accounts Receivable

What you will do

• Own end-to-end Order to Cash operations, including billing, collections, customer inquiries, and invoice accuracy.
• Manage DSO, accounts receivable aging, past-due balances, collection rates, disputes, credit memos, and rebills.
• Lead and develop a team of 10, including the Billing Manager and accounts receivable professionals.
• Define, track, and report KPIs such as collection effectiveness, on-time billing, invoice accuracy, and inquiry response times.
• Document and standardize processes, implement quality controls, and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
• Partner with Sales, Renewals, Customer Success, Legal, and executive leadership to resolve billing and contracting issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of billing and accounts receivable experience, including Order to Cash operations in a software or SaaS company.
• 5+ years of people management experience and a record of building high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience with collections, DSO, AR aging, disputes, payment plans, and credit decisions.
• Experience managing ticketing queues and tracking service-level agreements; Salesforce experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of revenue and accounts receivable accounting, reconciliations, allowance for doubtful accounts, and month-end close support.
• Experience designing and operating SOX-compliant controls; Salesforce Billing and NetSuite knowledge is preferred.
