Information System Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead cybersecurity activities and own the full RMF lifecycle for Spectrum Core, including categorization, SSP, security controls, POA&M, artifacts, continuous monitoring, IATT, and ATO.
• Maintain the eMASS package as the system of record and support the Phase 3 SIPR instance on the critical path.
• Manage STIGs, vulnerability assessments, SCAP, ACAS/Nessus findings, configuration baselines, and remediation activities.
• Advise the Government Project Officer on cyber posture, residual risk, mitigation options, fielding impact, and mission-relevant risks.
• Coordinate with the AO, SCA/SCA-V, ISSM, system owners, integrators, engineering, test, and fielding teams.
• Support FCL sponsorship, DD254 requirements, contractor personnel security, and assessment activities at remote ranges or division sites.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience, including 8 or more years of DoW/DoD cybersecurity experience with hands-on ISSO or equivalent RMF execution.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAM Level II or Level III certification status; Security+ alone does not meet the IAM II requirement.
• Demonstrated ownership of an eMASS or equivalent authorization package through an authorization decision.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, STIGs, continuous monitoring, and IATT versus ATO.
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field preferred; 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Ability to meet position-specific physical and medical requirements and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Nice to have

• RMF experience with RF, sensor, EW, PNT, tactical, cloud, IL5, or SIPR systems.
• Army PdM or PEO ISSO experience, DEVCOM laboratory systems, or ATEC test support.
• Experience with ACAS, HBSS/ESS, SCAP, STIG Viewer, eMASS, or other A&A tools.
• CISSP, CISM, CAP, or CASP+ certification and a Top Secret clearance.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate cybersecurity work, with a redacted example available.
