Information Systems Security Manager (AWS Cloud)

Location: Groton, Connecticut, United States; work in the Groton office

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager for U.S. Navy information systems under DoD Risk Management Framework and cybersecurity policies.
• Lead the full RMF lifecycle, including categorization, control implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, POA&Ms, and continuous monitoring strategies.
• Manage system accreditation activities in eMASS and maintain accurate authorization packages and security documentation.
• Coordinate assessments, audits, inspections, vulnerability management, incident response, and remediation tracking.
• Advise leadership and engineering teams on cybersecurity risks, DevSecOps practices, system architecture, and secure development.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance and willingness and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 3+ years as an ISSM or senior ISSO in a DoD or Navy environment.
• Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud, AWS, Terraform, eMASS, RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, NIST SP 800-37 Rev. 2, and DoDI 8500.01/8510.01.
• Experience supporting Navy programs such as NAVWAR, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, or USMC systems, including work with Navy Authorizing Officials.
• Knowledge of SECNAV M-5239.1, DISA STIGs, SCAP compliance tools, ACAS, HBSS or endpoint security solutions, and on-premises, cloud, and hybrid architectures.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience with Platform IT, weapons systems cybersecurity, DevSecOps pipelines, and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of the DoD Zero Trust Strategy.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Navy cloud environments.
