Energy Engineer (Decarbonization)

Location: On-site in New York City, United States

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Evaluate energy performance and carbon reduction assessments.
• Conduct ASHRAE Level II and III energy audits.
• Perform retro-commissioning for commercial, institutional, and multifamily buildings.
• Develop clean energy projects, including scopes, energy savings calculations, and cost estimates.
• Perform energy-efficiency measure savings calculations, economic analyses, building energy simulations, and thermal load analyses.
• Present project results to clients, executives, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3–5 years of experience in energy auditing, retro-commissioning, and energy analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with decarbonization initiatives.
• Experience with large commercial buildings, including healthcare, higher education, and K–12 schools.
• Strong analytical, technical, writing, and presentation skills.
