Senior Specialist, C&I Buildings

Location: US Remote; Nationwide Remote Office (US99). The position is associated with Reston, Virginia, United States.

Salary: $108,476.00–$184,409.00 per year.

What you will do

• Support business development, capture activities, market research, savings projections, and proposal responses.
• Evolve and develop commercial and industrial utility program offerings with offering managers, subject matter experts, internal teams, and external partners.
• Provide technical leadership for building electrification, demand-side management, flexible load, distributed energy resource, and grid-interactive efficient building solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, market trends, and technical best practices to improve offerings and client outcomes.
• Conduct technical assessments and energy savings analyses supporting program design, customer engagement, and business development.
• Standardize best practices across local teams and provide thought leadership through conferences, webinars, boards, and committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing, constructing, operating, or optimizing commercial and industrial buildings.
• Expertise in energy efficiency, building systems, electrification, distributed energy resources, utility programs, or related technical disciplines.
• Strategic thinking, opportunity identification, competitive assessment, and partnership-building skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams in both in-person and virtual settings.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in C&I energy efficiency, demand reduction, or flexible load management.
• Experience delivering grid-interactive efficient buildings, microgrids, or distributed energy resource solutions.
• Experience with continuous improvement and quality assurance or control practices.
