Engineering Program Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Manage intake and triage for central services, DevOps, and data work.
• Maintain a consolidated view of work in flight, dependencies, ownership, and delivery status.
• Report on shipped, rolling-out, and blocked work, including the reasoning behind delivery decisions.
• Lead a small team of contract engineers by setting priorities, running 1:1s, and providing performance feedback.
• Automate status and workflow updates by integrating engineering systems through APIs.
• Build dashboards covering application, infrastructure, data, and release health, while running planning, commitments, retrospectives, and release ownership processes.

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience with a transition toward program or delivery management.
• Ability to read code, write scripts, call APIs, and connect tools to automate work.
• Experience using AI tools seriously and evaluating where they are effective.
• Experience owning delivery or release reporting for a regularly shipping team.
• Previous experience leading engineers and making prioritization decisions under pressure.
• Clear written communication and the ability to surface and resolve delivery problems early.

Nice to have

• Experience with live-service, real-money, or regulated products.
• Mobile release management for the Apple App Store or Google Play.
• Jira or Confluence administration experience.
• Incident response and on-call experience.
• AWS or another cloud provider.
