Technical Accounting Manager

What you will do

• Research new and proposed accounting standards, interpretations, and regulations issued by the SEC, FASB, AICPA, and EITF.
• Prepare technical accounting white papers and resolve financial reporting implications with auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Research accounting considerations for business development transactions under US GAAP and IFRS, including valuation impacts.
• Review contracts and advise on accounting implications related to revenue, leases, insurance recoveries, stock-based compensation, and impairments.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors to resolve outstanding accounting and reporting matters.
• Lead cross-functional meetings, manage priorities, and follow up on commitments and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification required.
• 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience; Big Four public accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience with technical accounting research, reporting, and SEC filings.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal control concepts.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
