Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer - DOD

Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, or Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL; remote and telework are not available.

Salary: $135,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Design, implement, maintain, and integrate cloud and containerization systems for government infrastructure.
• Assess infrastructure and plan migrations to cloud and container platforms using Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS ECS, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code and automation with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and Bash.
• Develop scalable IaaS and PaaS architectures incorporating security, privacy, audit controls, and DoD/MDA compliance requirements.
• Deploy and maintain cloud application databases, including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL.
• Collaborate with developers, network engineers, government stakeholders, and leadership to resolve integration issues and recommend technology improvements.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of full-time general work experience, potentially reduced through advanced education.
• At least 6 years of directly related experience in system integration, DevSecOps, or Kubernetes, including at least 1 year in a management or leadership role.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift; Coder Platform experience is required.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, and an active DoD Secret Security Clearance are required.
• On-site work is required in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL; relocation assistance is not available.
