Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Fairfax, Virginia office, with up to 3 days in the office and weekly customer-site support in Springfield, Falls Church, and/or Adelphi as needed. Travel of approximately 10–20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations is required.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain multi-cloud virtual infrastructure and new capabilities in AWS and Azure.
• Manage and maintain coalition Mission Partner network enclaves supporting the Department of War community.
• Apply cloud services, automation, container orchestration, and security technologies across large DoD programs.
• Integrate, test, and monitor partner networks and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders in an agile environment to deliver cloud solutions.
• Travel to customer sites and government installations to provide infrastructure support.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret security clearance are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and at least 10 years of related professional experience are required.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ certification or higher within 60 days of hire.
• 5–7 years of experience designing, engineering, and deploying cloud infrastructure, including hands-on AWS, AWS GovCloud, and Azure experience.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, Windows and Linux endpoints, cloud networking, VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, NAT, and SSL/TLS.
• Experience with Terraform, PowerShell, ARM/Bicep templates, Bash, or Python, plus STIG compliance and STIG Viewer reporting.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret or higher security clearance.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related STEM discipline.
• DevSecOps, big data, cloud technology, and DoD network organization experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP certification.
