DevSecOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Reston, VA; local to the Washington, DC metro area

What you will do

• Deploy, integrate, and operationalize the Kovr AI Platform across enterprise, federal, cloud, hybrid, and classified environments.
• Design, build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Administer and scale Kubernetes/EKS workloads with Helm and ArgoCD.
• Implement security controls, observability, monitoring, evidence collection, and continuous validation aligned with NIST 800-53 and OSCAL-based frameworks.
• Integrate DevOps and security tools including GitHub, JIRA, Splunk, and Snyk into compliance and remediation workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues, maintain technical documentation, and participate in customer-facing technical discussions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Hands-on experience architecting AWS infrastructure with Terraform at scale.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, EKS or similar platforms, Helm charts, and GitHub/GitOps workflows.
• Experience with FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-53/800-171, or DoD SRG compliance environments, plus familiarity with OSCAL or similar frameworks.
• Experience integrating SAST, DAST, or IaC security scanning into pipelines; proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, and local presence in the Washington, DC metro area are required.

Nice to have

• Security or cloud certifications such as Security+, AWS Certified Security, CySA+, or CISSP.
• Experience integrating LLM coding agents, MCPs, and automations into DevOps workflows.
• Experience supporting federal DevSecOps deployments or highly regulated commercial clients.
