Senior Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: Full-time remote work is available in approved US states (CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, and WA) or Canada. The preferred location is within the Pacific Standard Time Zone. Quarterly in-person team gatherings are expected.

Base salary: $141,000–$205,000 in the US depending on location and experience; CAD 135,000–160,000 in Canada.

What you will do

• Build and maintain infrastructure tooling for provisioning and configuring thousands of servers.
• Develop systems for rapid code deployment, service configuration, monitoring, automated testing, and linting.
• Own infrastructure powering real-time data pipelines processing hundreds of terabytes of data daily.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects and ship code frequently with measurable business impact.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers through code review, risk-driven testing, and engineering excellence practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong coding ability and solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system architecture.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems problems.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and deliver results.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Expertise managing Kafka.
• Expertise in data.
