Applied AI Architect, Security Specialist

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requires staff to be in an office at least 25% of the time. Occasional travel to customer sites is required.

Annual salary: $380,000–$400,000 USD. For sales roles, the stated range includes annual base salary and target commissions or bonuses.

What you will do

• Advise strategic enterprise account teams on security programs, use cases, technical plans, and business cases for Claude.
• Guide customers from discovery and pilots through production security workloads, including secure SDLC, penetration testing, alert investigation, and threat intelligence.
• Build reusable reference implementations, harnesses, evaluation approaches, playbooks, and best practices.
• Run workshops and hands-on sessions using customer code and security workflows.
• Enable ISVs, systems integrators, and managed security providers to deliver Claude-powered security outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Research, and Engineering to provide customer feedback, measure adoption, and track security workload depth.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in security roles, with hands-on depth in at least two security areas such as application security, secure SDLC, offensive security, detection and response, threat intelligence, or vulnerability management.
• Experience in a technical customer-facing role or in a security team where investment had to be won from leadership.
• Experience with large enterprise customers, complex multi-stakeholder buying cycles, vendors, and partners.
• Ability to translate between security teams, engineering teams, and executives.
• Comfort with Python, CI/CD, cloud environments, and hands-on LLM use for security work such as code review, vulnerability discovery, triage, or investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience working across regulated industries, semiconductor companies, digital-native organizations, or public sector agencies.
• Experience developing reference customers and reusable field playbooks.
• Strong teaching skills and a collaborative approach to balancing competing priorities.
