Senior Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Dallas, Texas, United States; periodic telecommuting is permitted within the Dallas metro area. Up to 5% domestic travel is required.

What you will do

• Support and implement enterprise-wide platform changes.
• Assess business requirements and their impact on technology, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership to software development teams and enforce standard methodologies.
• Lead project delivery and software engineering across multiple platforms.
• Coordinate strategy, requirements analysis, design, systems integration, scope, costs, and timelines with internal and external partners.
• Supervise one direct report and coordinate with internal IT groups on solution integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Progressive experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, microservices architecture, RESTful web services, JSON, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with MySQL, AWS, relational and non-relational databases, and database management and integration.
• Experience deploying scalable microservices applications and using Apache Kafka, Docker, Redis, Jenkins, Eclipse, Tomcat, Datadog, and Cassandra.
• Ability to work in the Dallas, Texas hybrid arrangement and complete up to 5% domestic travel.
