Salary: $248,000 — $310,000 USD

What you will do

• Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for the Content Platform org.
• Identify and resolve the most ambiguous, high-leverage technical problems across multiple systems.
• Lead architecture and design reviews to establish technical standards and engineering consistency.
• Mentor Staff and senior engineers, acting as a technical multiplier for the organization.
• Partner with engineering leadership, product, and design to align technical strategy with business priorities.
• Represent Marketing Technology in company-wide forums to shape broader technical direction.

Requirements

• 15+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a track record of organizational leadership.
• Deep expertise in backend systems and large-scale distributed architectures.
• Proven experience architecting and scaling agentic or AI-driven systems in production.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, LangGraph, GraphQL, and NoSQL/Relational databases.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional influence skills.
• Must reside in a US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

• Past experience with Marketing Technology or Growth platform systems.
