Senior Java Software Engineer (Spring Boot)

Location: Michigan, United States; hybrid work with office attendance four days per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Build and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Define application architecture, integration approaches, technology stacks, and deployment strategies.
• Develop testing strategies and implement automated, load, and performance testing.
• Improve application performance, development efficiency, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with customers, product owners, designers, architects, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of IT experience and 8+ years of software development experience.
• Senior-level engineering experience with advanced proficiency in one programming language or practical experience in two.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, backend development, and GCP Cloud Run.
• Hands-on experience with load and performance scripting, performance testing, and QA automation using Playwright.
• Willingness to work in the office four days per week in Michigan.

Nice to have

• Experience with React.
• Familiarity with testing tools.
• Additional experience with load and performance testing and QA automation.
