Senior Java/GCP Developer

What you will do

• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, GCP, and Kafka.
• Build scalable REST APIs and event-driven solutions based on cloud-native messaging patterns.
• Design data models and optimize performance with Bigtable and related cloud databases.
• Apply cloud architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, infrastructure automation, testing, deployment, and monitoring practices.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, security, product, business, and technology stakeholders.
• Own technical project delivery, participate in code reviews and design discussions, and mentor developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java application development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, distributed applications, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with GCP, Kafka, Bigtable or similar NoSQL databases, cloud architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, Git, and Maven.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, Agile/Scrum, and API security.
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle or MySQL, J2EE, web services, JAX-RS, Swagger, authentication, authorization, and API gateways.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Run, BigQuery, observability tools, and distributed tracing.
• Knowledge of digital assets, tokenization, blockchain ecosystems, digital wallets, payment platforms, or custody solutions.
• Experience with fraud technology and financial services platforms.
• Experience using approved AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies with attention to data security and regulatory compliance.
