Project Manager II (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; primarily in-office with the ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel as required. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Manage multiple moderate-complexity projects or one larger project through proposal development, execution, and closeout.
• Assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, and coordinate resources across functions.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Track milestones, budgets, schedules, and other performance indicators, preparing status reports for stakeholders and management.
• Interface with internal and external customers and communicate project status to senior project, functional, and program managers.
• Adapt project plans and scope to frequent changes while ensuring timely completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent experience; without a degree, at least 8 years of related experience is required.
• At least 4 years of project management or related technical experience.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance are required.
• Experience managing complex projects with multifunctional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet schedules.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with Earned Value Management, risk management, scope control, and resource planning.
• Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001, AS9100, or CMMI standards.
• Familiarity with government contracting and regulations.
