Project Manager III (Aerospace)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States. Full-time onsite role; relocation is provided and travel is expected up to 10%. Applicants must meet U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, refugee, or asylum status requirements.

Base pay range for Colorado applicants: $102,721–$143,809.05 per year.

Develops reusable space vehicles and systems, including launch and spacecraft systems for national security missions.

What you will do

• Lead avionics, spacecraft systems, and critical vehicle hardware projects from concept through development, qualification, and production transition.
• Track product maturity, testing, qualification progress, hardware readiness gates, and critical-path activities.
• Define resource needs, scope, milestones, and integrated master schedules.
• Manage project budgets, estimates at completion, product costs, variance reporting, and recovery planning.
• Lead cross-functional decisions with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Quality, and Enterprise Technology.
• Improve workflows, documentation, KPI reporting, automation, and data-visualization practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Operations, or an equivalent field.
• 10+ years of project or program management experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated hardware development environment.
• Experience managing budgets, baselines, variance reporting, and recovery plans.
• Experience managing critical paths and high-visibility deliverables under significant schedule pressure.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with avionics, electronics, complex integrated systems, and production transition.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Coupa, or similar tools.
• Experience with KPI dashboards, automation or AI-enabled workflow improvements, MES, ERP, PLM, AS6500, MRLs, or PRLs.
