Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Maryland, United States. Applicants must already hold a TS/SCI clearance with a current Full Scope Polygraph before applying. Clearance sponsorship or processing is not available.

Salary: $187,000–$204,000 per year, plus $47,000–$51,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions.

What you will do

• Support platform architectural design, deployment, debugging, and service infrastructure maintenance.
• Build and maintain release pipelines and continuous integration environments for safe delivery across development, test, staging, QA, and production.
• Develop configuration management, version control, branching, merging, and infrastructure automation practices.
• Configure sites and applications using Puppet, Ansible, containers, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, and cloud infrastructure.
• Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and participate in planning, grooming, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Analyze service stacks, troubleshoot complex software systems, improve reliability and performance, and support deployment and operations.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current Full Scope Polygraph is required before applying; clearance sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science and at least 10 years of related experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in Agile development environments, system architecture, and AWS or virtualized server management.
• Strong experience with Git, Linux and Windows administration, monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency, performance optimization, and high-availability architectures.
• Proficiency with Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, C, C++, Go, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with Jenkins or Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, AWS, VMware, databases, caching technologies, networking, firewalls, and security practices.
