Signals Software Engineer (C++/Java)

Location: Maryland, United States. Applicants must already hold a TS/SCI clearance with a current Full Scope Polygraph.

Salary: $187,000–$204,000 per year, plus $47,000–$51,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance signal processing software, including detectors, demodulators, and protocol processors.
• Develop and implement complex algorithms for signal conversion, digital modulation, filtering, demodulation, adaptive beamforming, and error control coding.
• Analyze requirements, system flows, data usage, interfaces, performance constraints, and hardware/software trade-offs.
• Integrate software into new or modified operating environments, debug defects, investigate problems, and resolve software problem reports.
• Develop and execute software component tests, perform quality control, and write or review technical documentation.
• Lead one or more software development teams and collaborate with system engineers, software engineers, and users.

Requirements

• Current TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph is required before applying.
• Clearance sponsorship or clearance processing is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or four additional years of equivalent SSWE experience in place of the degree.
• At least seven years of SSWE or equivalent experience on projects focused on Radio Frequency systems.
• Experience with Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding, signal analysis tools, and digital signal processing.
• Advanced understanding of Linux and experience writing software in C++ and Java.
