Internal Auditor (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Berlin, Germany

What you will do

• Conduct IT and other audit assignments independently or in a small team.
• Present, report, and follow up on audit results with stakeholders.
• Provide risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight.
• Evaluate and improve risk management, control, and governance processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert during business audit assignments.

Requirements

• University degree in computer science or IT, or a degree in economics with a specialization in finance, accounting, or audit.
• At least 5 years of auditing experience, preferably in financial services or the audit industry.
• Knowledge of audit and governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, ISO, and IIA/DIIR standards.
• Experience reviewing control activities, processes, and policy documentation.
• Fluent German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, solution-driven, goal-oriented, and quality-focused working style.

Nice to have

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification.
• Additional qualifications such as CISSP or CRISC.
• Additional languages.
