TL;DR

Focus on automating finance workflows, implementing straight-through invoice processing, maintaining accurate supplier data, and supporting scalable reporting for an audio AI platform.

What you will do
- Reconcile bank transactions daily and support the transition to automated bank feeds and rule-based matching.
- Own the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice compliance checks, pre-accounting, and posting in SAP Business One.
- Administer spend management, pre-accounting, and corporate travel platforms, including approval flows, subscriptions, user access, and SAP interfaces.
- Review employee travel expenses and ensure correct treatment of per diems, input VAT, and German travel expense rules.
- Monitor supplier ageing, communicate with suppliers, and support monthly close activities such as General Ledger reconciliations and cash bookings.
- Identify manual processes and implement workflow and automation improvements with the Accounting Manager.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field.
- 4–6 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), German and intra-EU VAT including reverse charge, and fixed assets.
- Very good English required; German is beneficial for working with German invoices, suppliers, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with SAP Business One is strongly preferred; experience with spend management and pre-accounting tools is beneficial.
- Independent, proactive approach with a strong interest in process simplification, automation, and AI-enabled work.
Nice to have
- Experience with licensing, royalty, or digital revenue models.
- Background in a scaling technology or platform company.
- German language skills.
