GL Accountant (Accounting/Oracle Fusion): Managing month-end and year-end close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, statutory reporting, and accounting transactions across multiple regions with an accent on local and US GAAP, tax compliance, and financial controls. Focus on implementing Oracle Fusion, preparing statutory financial statements, coordinating audits and payroll accounting, and improving accounting processes in a global matrix organization.

What you will do
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes and support accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and accounting transactions for multiple regions.
- Prepare statutory financial statements, local GAAP adjustments, and periodic VAT, VIES, Intrastat, and statistical returns.
- Coordinate income tax returns, audit support, payroll accounting, and related documentation with internal teams and external providers.
- Maintain compliance with local accounting standards and global company policies while supporting internal controls.
- Participate in the implementation of the Oracle Fusion ERP system planned for 2027 and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant qualification, such as ACA.
- Knowledge of maintaining local and US GAAP accounting ledgers.
- Excellent MS Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems; Oracle knowledge is an advantage.
- Good written and spoken English is required.
- Strong organizational, analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
