Head of Group Assurance

What you will do

• Build Group Assurance from the ground up, including its governance, methodology, operating model, and risk-based approach.
• Develop a group-wide view of key risks and processes and create annual and multi-year audit plans.
• Lead end-to-end internal audits across functions, processes, and international entities, from scoping and fieldwork through recommendations and follow-up.
• Provide independent assurance on governance, risk management, and internal controls while helping develop practical and sustainable solutions.
• Act as an independent partner to senior leadership and turn audit insights into actionable recommendations.
• Build the Group Assurance team and introduce data-driven, technology-enabled audit approaches.

Requirements

• Several years of leadership experience in Internal Audit or Group Assurance, preferably in an international, complex, or fast-growing organization.
• Experience building, scaling, or transforming an Internal Audit or assurance function.
• Strong knowledge of risk-based auditing, corporate governance, risk management, internal controls, enterprise risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience engaging with C-level executives and senior stakeholders while maintaining independence, objectivity, and professional judgment.
• Collaborative leadership experience and a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Fluent English required; German is an advantage.

Nice to have

• CIA, CISA, CRMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience with data analytics, technology-embedded auditing, and modern assurance methods.
