Group Accountant

Location: Karlsruhe or Berlin, Germany; hybrid schedule with two days per month in the office and the remaining time remote. A valid German work/residence permit is required.

What you will do

• Own the full accounting cycle for holding and management entities, including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Manage accounting in line with German GAAP and group reporting requirements across eight jurisdictions.
• Coordinate external auditors, tax advisors, statutory filings, treasury, and payment cycles.
• Define and maintain global consolidation standards and harmonize workflows across international entities.
• Manage group month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Drive finance process improvements and ensure data integrity in NetSuite, LucaNet, and connected finance tools.

Requirements

• Experience in financial accounting within an international corporate environment, preferably in technology, software, or SaaS.
• Advanced knowledge of German GAAP and German statutory reporting is required.
• Experience with international group consolidations and international accounting standards is required.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP and strong knowledge of LucaNet.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German are mandatory.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field; ability to work across multicultural, multi-time-zone teams.

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
• Additional language skills.
