Engineering Manager (NERC Studies)

Location: Remote within the United States; worksite in Austin, Texas

What you will do

• Manage a team of power system engineers supporting ISO-specific commissioning and testing requirements for newly connected energy resources.
• Own project delivery, ensuring completion within approved scope, quality standards, budgets, and regulatory deadlines.
• Engage with clients to define study scopes and address project needs and concerns.
• Support the expansion of commissioning services beyond the ERCOT region, including RFP responses and statements of work.
• Develop engineering capabilities and lead process improvements that increase team capacity while maintaining deliverable quality and timeliness.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Engineering Management.
• At least two years of experience in the offered role or a closely related engineering position.
• At least two years of experience with dynamic power systems modeling using PSSE and PLSF, renewable generation modeling, and NERC compliance studies.
• At least two years of experience with model qualification testing for ERCOT sites and technical report writing.
• At least two years of experience managing multiple projects with strict regulatory deadlines.
• At least two years of experience coordinating testing with plant owners, OEMs, and grid operators.
