Project Manager - Interpreting

Location: Remote. Availability during Italian business hours (CET/CEST) is required. An onboarding session at the HQ in Rome will be arranged.

What you will do

• Manage interpreting projects ranging from single meetings to multilingual, multi-day events.
• Advise clients on interpreting modes, language combinations, interpreter requirements, technical equipment, and platforms.
• Select, brief, and coordinate interpreters and technicians.
• Support sessions before, during, and after delivery by preparing materials, running technical checks, monitoring live sessions, and resolving issues.
• Manage project budgets, costs, and profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Collaborate with Senior Project Managers to test and implement more efficient workflows.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Interpreting Project Manager and extensive knowledge of interpreting event organization.
• Strong understanding of simultaneous, consecutive, sign language, and sworn interpreting.
• Experience with Remote Simultaneous Interpreting platforms and interpreting equipment.
• Excellent English proficiency required.
• Strong computer and web skills, client communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Ability to manage stress, high-pressure live sessions, and substantial workloads efficiently.

Nice to have

• German or French language skills.
• Experience with localization projects.
