Director, Provider Escalations & Education (Strategy & Operations)

Location: Remote USA

Salary: $182,000–$216,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the Health System Escalations function, including response time, quality, and time to resolution.
• Drive alignment across executive leadership and Network, Claims, Payment Integrity, Clinical, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Manage performance through KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, productivity metrics, quality measures, cost, and workforce planning.
• Operate the current function while designing and implementing a scalable future-state process.
• Build AI-enabled and human-in-the-loop workflows, workflow automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Define and execute the roadmap for scaling escalation operations and addressing root causes.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of leadership experience delivering measurable outcomes in complex operational environments.
• Strong operational rigor and experience applying technology to complex business challenges.
• Experience leading end-to-end initiatives from strategy through execution and owning roadmaps, KPIs, and cross-functional delivery.
• Ability to manage through metrics, establish ambitious targets, and maintain clear accountability for results.
• Strong people leadership experience with managers, distributed teams, and external vendors.
• Exceptional communication, attention to detail, urgency, resilience, and execution quality.
