Sr. Manager, AI Forward Deployed Engineering

What you will do

• Lead and scale the EMEA Forward Deployed AI Engineering professional services team, including hiring, mentoring, and organizational design.
• Build executive relationships with EMEA customers and partners, advising VP-, CIO-, and CDO-level stakeholders on complex AI transformations.
• Define strategic account plans with Field Engineering and Sales leaders and coordinate delivery across functions.
• Lead AI professional services initiatives, practice development, standardized delivery processes, and reusable engagement models.
• Influence Product, Research, Engineering, and go-to-market priorities through customer insights and delivery learnings.
• Own OKRs for AI-services-led accounts, revenue, utilization, and public references while representing Databricks as an AI/ML thought leader.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing, hiring, and developing high-performing data science and machine learning teams and leaders.
• Experience scoping, guiding, and selling technical engagements, managing escalations, and delivering successfully in enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, GenAI, and data science, with experience building production ML solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Experience developing strategies with senior executive stakeholders, aligning technical visions, and building trust during complex enterprise engagements.
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with Sales, Product, and go-to-market teams.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, or equivalent practical experience.
