Staff Unified Communications Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $177,700–$244,300 USD annually for Zone 1; total compensation may also include an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the deployment, reliability, and evolution of enterprise voice, conferencing, and workplace communication systems.
• Lead communication and workplace technology deployments for new offices, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Design and support enterprise voice, AV infrastructure connectivity, conferencing systems, and workplace integrations.
• Troubleshoot complex communication and media issues across global environments and build automation to improve operational scalability.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Workplace, Executive Support, vendors, telecom providers, and integration partners.
• Create scalable operational standards, documentation, and deployment playbooks while mentoring team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise unified communications, workplace technology, or enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong expertise in enterprise voice and conferencing systems, conference room and workplace AV, networking fundamentals, QoS, and media optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting complex communication environments and supporting large-scale global environments.
• Experience managing communication infrastructure for office buildouts and workplace deployments.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional delivery.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, with demonstrated ownership of large-scale infrastructure initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting executive environments or large-scale conference room deployments.
• Familiarity with enterprise AV design and workplace technology standards.
• Certifications in collaboration, networking, AV, or telecom technologies.
• Experience with automation, observability, or Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
