Production Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Production Quality Inspector (Aerospace): Responsible for ensuring mission success by performing in-process inspections and final verification of flight hardware. Salary: $30 - $40 USD (Hourly Pay)

The company is building satellites that operate from geostationary orbit (GEO) and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload.

What you will do

• Perform in-process inspection and final verification of flight hardware to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Identify, document, and resolve production and test non-conformances.
• Interface with engineering and production to resolve nonconforming issues.
• Support quality management system policies and procedures, assessing compliance and leading improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of nonconforming hardware control, failure/root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes.
• Experience reading and interpreting design drawings and CAD models.
• Experience performing electronic testing and inspection using measuring devices and lab equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or related field.
• Knowledgeable with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems.
• Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices in accordance with IPC-J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 standards.
• Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards.
• Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certified.
