Production Quality Engineer

Salary: $85,000.00–$120,000.00 annually

What you will do

• Act as the Quality lead for assigned program(s) and provide technical support to customers, suppliers, and government agencies to ensure contract compliance.
• Maintain, evaluate, and improve the current site inspection plan; support inspection personnel and interfacing departments.
• Analyze contractual requirements and create program plans, procedures, and Quality Codes.
• Investigate quality issues by determining causes of failures; perform root cause analysis on common failures and RMAs and lead corrective action reviews.
• Support process improvement using failure analysis, DOEs, SPC, and other methods; create quality trend reports and maintain site-level metrics.
• Perform internal audits for compliance with quality standards and support facility modernization while ensuring OSHA/EPA/EHS compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/analytical/scientific field and 5 years of quality-related experience, or associate’s degree and 9 years, or high school diploma and 13 years.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001, AS9102, or similar quality standards.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
• Ability to inspect at the LRU and circuit board level.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with lean and/or Six Sigma.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, inspection, test, and procurement processes.
