Global Payroll Manager (EOR)

Location: Costa Rica; other listed locations: Mexico (remote) and Colombia

What you will do

• Manage and develop Regional Payroll Leads for the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
• Standardize payroll operations, controls, escalation paths, and service quality across regions.
• Own Tier 3 resolution for complex payroll, invoicing, benefits, and EOR entity-management issues.
• Monitor payroll accuracy, error attribution, SLA performance, risks, capacity, and resourcing needs.
• Ensure compliant execution of multi-country payroll, statutory filings, and worker payments.
• Support payroll transformation, tooling initiatives, client onboarding, pricing discussions, and cross-functional issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-country or global payroll operations.
• 3+ years of experience managing managers or geographically distributed teams.
• Direct experience with EOR payroll models and understanding of multi-country compliance, statutory requirements, and cross-border employment structures.
• Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, analytical judgment, and process-improvement skills.
• Experience with payroll KPI or control-register frameworks; Power BI, Power Apps, or SharePoint familiarity is beneficial.

• Global payroll certification such as GPP, CPP, or equivalent.
