Sales Engineer (Packaging Automation)

Location: Onsite in Forest, Virginia, USA

Base salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee sold customer projects from order entry through shipment, installation, and handoff.
• Act as the primary customer contact, providing updates, resolving technical questions, and managing expectations.
• Review order documentation, drawings, layouts, and OEM content for technical and commercial accuracy.
• Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Field Service, and Installation teams to meet project milestones and deliverables.
• Manage scope changes, project records, correspondence, and documentation in ERP and CRM systems.
• Identify improvements to project handoff, communication, and execution workflows.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in project coordination, applications engineering, or technical sales, preferably in conveyor systems, packaging, or custom machinery.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, manufacturing processes, and equipment integration.
• Demonstrated project management, customer relationship, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and CAD software.
