Staff Platform Engineer (AI & Agentic AI Platform Engineering)

Location: United Kingdom - Walton Oaks; hybrid work with some office presence required. The role is also posted at hirify.global sites in France, Lithuania, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Greece.

What you will do

• Build reusable modules and templates for provisioning environments across AWS and Azure.
• Design multi-cloud infrastructure patterns using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps.
• Operate auditable CI/CD pipelines and automate application-team onboarding and environment setup.
• Run Kubernetes clusters with autoscaling, workload isolation, hardened ingress, registry access, and role-scoped permissions.
• Maintain platform services for logging, metrics, alerting, registries, DNS, and TLS.
• Develop runbooks, incident-response guidance, self-healing automation, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Strong experience in platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Terraform.
• Experience with multi-cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with GitOps workflows, including Argo CD, CI/CD design, observability, and security/compliance frameworks.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with some office presence required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Generative AI infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of GxP-regulated environments and qualification processes.
• Experience driving platform adoption and mentoring engineering teams.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
