What you will do
- Own the vision, roadmap, and end-to-end execution of the Internal Developer Platform.
- Define golden paths, service catalogues, self-service scaffolding, CI/CD integrations, and developer portals.
- Shape the developer experience across service creation, deployment, production observability, authentication, and authorization.
- Work with product, infrastructure, IAM, SRE, and engineering teams to deliver reliable and secure platform experiences.
- Drive adoption using onboarding time, self-service completion, platform NPS, time-to-first-deployment, and DORA metrics.
- Influence platform architecture, establish feedback loops, and mentor senior platform engineers without direct people management.
Requirements
- 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or developer-tooling engineering, including 3+ years in a senior, staff, individual-contributor, or technical-lead role.
- End-to-end ownership of an Internal Developer Platform or developer portal such as Backstage, Port, or Cortex.
- Production experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Crossplane, CI/CD, secrets management, and observability.
- Experience shipping golden paths, service templates, and CI/CD standardization at enterprise scale.
- Hands-on experience with Go, React, Next.js, Kafka or RedPanda, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes AKS is expected within the NGA stack.
- Ability to communicate platform strategy clearly to engineering leaders, product directors, and distributed product teams.
