AI Orchestration Architect (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Austin, Texas, United States

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 gross annually in Austin; compensation for other locations is discussed during the interview process.

hirify.global is an early-stage Healthtech AI startup using artificial intelligence to accelerate drug development and improve clinical-trial outcomes.

What you will do

• Set the technical architecture for the orchestration layer powering production AI agents.
• Design and evolve a platform SDK used across AI engineering teams.
• Own reliability, latency, cost, multi-tenant isolation, quotas, and security boundaries.
• Build platform APIs, model gateways, routing, rate limiting, and cost-attribution capabilities.
• Define CI/CD standards for agent deployment and collaborate on shared infrastructure.
• Mentor Platform Engineers, review architecture, and participate in on-call and incident response.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience, including architecture-level ownership.
• 1–2 years building or operating AI or agentic platforms in production.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems and organizational-scale APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language.
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS, plus containerization and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, open-source agentic AI libraries, or durable-execution orchestrators.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, biotech, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
