Engineering Manager (SaaS)

What you will do

• Lead 5–8 engineers across one or two squads, with potential growth to 12–15 engineers across two or three squads.
• Own delivery health, release rhythm, lead time, change-failure rate, and squad outcomes.
• Industrialize validated AI-accelerated prototypes into production-grade, enterprise-deployable SaaS systems.
• Maintain AI governance by ensuring human review of every AI-generated or AI-modified change before merge.
• Partner with Product and AI Research on outcomes, priorities, and model-quality workstreams.
• Coach engineers and technical leads while leading sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and team development.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a strong senior engineer working with distributed systems, microservices, and SaaS platforms, followed by 4+ years of engineering management.
• Proven multi-team management experience covering approximately 10–20 engineers or management through technical leads.
• Experience building teams through sourcing, hiring, development, performance management, and career growth.
• Experience delivering in regulated or audited environments such as health, fintech, or government, including audit trails and hard release gates.
• Ability to read code, challenge designs, evaluate AI-generated code, and own delivery risks and outcomes.
• Strong communication, delivery ownership, and interest in AI-assisted engineering with human framing and verification.

Nice to have

• AI-first delivery experience with human-in-the-loop review discipline.
• Multi-tenant SaaS architecture experience, including tenant isolation, RBAC, entitlements, and secure API design.
• Cloud-native experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, observability, metrics, logs, and tracing.
• Production experience with LLM or agentic features, or familiarity with .NET, Node, React, Python, and Kubernetes.
• Life sciences or clinical trials experience.
