Application Science, Team Lead (Clinical Genomics)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and scale the global Application Science team, including KPI definition, resource allocation, and continuous learning.
• Act as the working manager for a defined territory and support customers across pre-sales, onboarding, post-sales support, and expansion.
• Lead technical evaluations and deliver expert demonstrations of the VarSome Premium, Clinical, and API products.
• Supervise complex cloud and on-premises delivery specifications in coordination with DevOps.
• Establish data-filtering and automation best practices to improve customer adoption and platform retention.
• Represent hirify.global at international conferences, build relationships with key opinion leaders, and collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Human Genetics, Laboratory Medicine, Molecular Biology, Pathology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience managing, leading, or coaching commercial or technical team members.
• Hands-on experience in clinical genomics, including NGS tertiary analysis workflows.
• Knowledge of laboratory workflows, variant interpretation frameworks, bioinformatics, and IT workflows.
• Ability to explain complex bioinformatics and technical infrastructure concepts to researchers, clinicians, and IT professionals.
• English and Spanish proficiency are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a bioinformatics software company or in DevOps/SysAdmin roles.
• Familiarity with regulated environments such as IVDR or CLIA/CAP.
• Experience in multicultural, international, or scale-up environments.
• Fluency in French, German, or other languages.
