Junior/Mid-Level Product Designer (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, with a hybrid work model

What you will do

• Own product design projects from discovery and exploration through launch.
• Work with product managers, engineers, and UX researchers to define problems, requirements, and solutions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma, Claude Design, and other design tools.
• Translate complex clinical trial workflows and technical concepts into simple, intuitive user experiences.
• Conduct user research and usability testing, incorporate feedback, and iterate rapidly on designs.
• Contribute to the design system and shape accessible, inclusive experiences for new AI-powered capabilities.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in product design, UX, interaction design, or a similar field.
• Strong proficiency in Figma and experience designing digital products through the full product design process.
• Portfolio demonstrating problem-solving, product thinking, and design craft.
• Experience with user research, usability testing, and applying research findings to design decisions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with product and engineering teams in an ambiguous environment.
• Genuine interest in AI and its potential to transform complex workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI or LLM-powered products.
• Experience in healthcare, biotech, life sciences, or other complex domains.
• Experience with design systems, component libraries, accessibility, or inclusive design.
• Experience with AI-powered design tools such as Claude Design or Figma Make.
• Experience in an early-stage startup or fast-growing product team.
