Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance are required before starting

Develops defense technology that connects sensing to action across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains for U.S. and allied defense organizations.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end product design across user journeys, interaction models, system states, and high-fidelity interfaces.
• Translate complex and ambiguous business or technical requirements into clear product concepts and experience strategies.
• Facilitate discovery workshops, ideation sessions, design sprints, and other design-thinking engagements.
• Build interactive prototypes in Figma and AI-assisted or no-code tools, including realistic flows, conditional logic, system behaviors, edge cases, and representative data.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, clients, and executive stakeholders to validate designs and communicate trade-offs and design intent.
• Influence product strategy and roadmap decisions while mentoring less-experienced designers and advancing design-system practices.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in product, UX/UI, interaction, or related design.
• Experience designing end-to-end digital products and translating ambiguous requirements into implementation-ready solutions.
• Strong experience with Figma or comparable prototyping tools, interactive design, realistic user flows, system behaviors, and edge cases.
• Experience with design systems, AI-assisted design workflows, user research, usability feedback, and close collaboration with Engineering.
• Strong communication, presentation, independent judgment, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to mentor junior and mid-level designers.
• U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance are required before the start date.

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, national security, government, or highly technical environments.
• Experience with Figma Make, Claude Code, Figma MCP, or comparable AI-assisted development and prototyping integrations.
• Experience integrating real or representative datasets into interactive prototypes.
• Experience influencing product strategy, working with external clients, or serving in the military.
