Director, Legal (Vendor)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate global vendor contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, software licenses, subscription agreements, engagement letters, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Advise the business on commercial, legal, regulatory, and vendor risk matters across key jurisdictions.
• Implement and remediate contracts in response to outsourcing and digital operational resilience requirements, while tracking regulatory updates.
• Manage vendor contract matters from instruction through execution, coordinating business stakeholders and external counsel where required.
• Advise Vendor Management, operational departments, client services, senior management, and entity boards on vendor-related legal matters.
• Support projects affecting vendors and contribute to improvements in contract review processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Qualified English solicitor with admission to the Law Society of England and Wales and good standing.
• 5–10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Broad experience in commercial law, contract drafting, and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of financial services and regulations affecting vendor contracts, including the EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Arrangements and the Digital Operational Resilience Act.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in London, United Kingdom.
