Associate Counsel (Commercial Transactions)

Location: London, United Kingdom; onsite presence at an hirify.global office or stadium location is required. Remote and hybrid working options are not offered. Periodic travel to hirify.global offices, including New York headquarters and international offices, and to international events is required. No relocation assistance will be provided.

National Football League (hirify.global) operates professional American football and international sports programs, games, partnerships, and commercial activities worldwide.

What you will do

• Structure, draft, and negotiate contracts supporting International Games, club marketing, player development, flag football, sponsorship, licensing, and international office operations.
• Advise international operational and commercial teams on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
• Independently lead material legal matters and support the Senior Counsel overseeing European and international legal work.
• Support international compliance with privacy laws and hirify.global policies, including coordination with the Head of Privacy.
• Monitor legal developments, update template documents, and manage outside counsel in international markets.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of commercial transactional experience as a qualified solicitor at a leading law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Foundational knowledge of GDPR and other international privacy regulations, with experience driving data privacy compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively, exercise sound commercial judgment, and manage multiple priorities across jurisdictions and time zones.
• Ability to work onsite in the London office or another hirify.global office or stadium location as required.

• Previous experience with sports law.
