Electronics Manager

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of 10+ electronic engineers across multiple programmes.
• Own electronic hardware designs from requirements capture through production release.
• Lead digital, mixed-signal, application processor, FPGA-based, and high-reliability design activities.
• Review and approve schematics, PCB layouts, component selections, and design documentation.
• Maintain design assurance, verification traceability, configuration control, and validation processes.
• Coordinate delivery with Systems Engineering, Software, Mechanical, Test, Programme Management, customers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• 8+ years of electronics hardware design experience across digital and mixed-signal systems.
• Experience managing related design projects and 5+ complex projects or programmes simultaneously.
• Detailed knowledge of electronics hardware design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with wiring and PCB rework, process implementation, legislation, and compliance.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation, communication, attention to detail, and proactive work ethic.
• Subject to UK Ministry of Defence security clearance vetting to at least SC level.

Nice to have

• Experience interfacing with subcontractors.
• Experience writing VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience writing embedded C and Python.
